A fire the day prior to this at the flash memory summit in santa clara, california, has compelled the closure of the display floor. The fireplace started about tuesday morning in the santa clara conference center.

An overhead sprinkler contained the blaze.

According to a worker for the display ground infrastructure issuer, the sprinkler ran for about an hour before workers discovered the mishap. The sales space underneath the blaze become heavily broken, and there was water damage to a number of the surrounding cubicles.

No one became injured.

Consistent with the worker, the purpose of the hearth became an overloaded strength strip that booth employees left underneath a pile of paper brochures. The reveals had been scheduled to open at 4pm tuesday however remained closed. They are next scheduled to open at noon today.

The flash reminiscence summit control released a declaration this morning:

“due to circumstances (a booth hearth) beyond our control, the famous are closed for this night,” stated the assertion. “a very last choice at the remaining scheduled showcase hours may be made at 10:00 am on wednesday.”

Consistent with the employee, the display floor is not going to open these days or the following day due to the fact water entered the underfloor electric distribution machine.

the storage bits take

The flash memory summit is squarely in the engine room of the flash storage revolution. Most attendees are engineers from agencies building flash garage into merchandise starting from storage arrays to self sustaining automobiles.

Many of the exhibitors are smaller groups presenting cutting part technologies enabling next-technology merchandise. It will be a bitter disappointment to them if they are unable to illustrate their wares to silicon valley architects and engineers.

I’m on the summit, and can be in my view disillusioned if the show floor would not open. I used to be looking ahead to seeing the present day from the nand flash enterprise.

Comments welcome. I’ll update this put up because the state of affairs warrants.
